I bought wonton wrappers a few days ago and yesterday, I pulled them out. I had a plan to use them (I’ll let you know if it turns out!) but I kind of wanted to do something with them right away. I was mulling it over until I noticed the strawberries sitting there, all lonely. And it hit me–sweet little chips to go with strawberries! I must admit, this is more of an idea than a recipe but they turned out pretty well and got me thinking even more. I think I might have to try my hand at fruit salsa. It would taste delicious with these sweet little crunchy chips!
- wonton wrappers, cut in half diagonally into triangles
- butter-flavored cooking spray
- 2 Tbs. Splenda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Heat oven to 425. Mix Splenda and cinnamon in a small bowl. Place wonton wrappers on cookie sheet. Lightly spritz with cooking spray and sprinkle with cinnamon mixture. Carefully flip over, spritz with more spray and sprinkle with more cinnamon mixture. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes or until they start to turn golden brown at the edges. Flip over and cook for another 1 to 3 minutes. Let cool, the serve with strawberries and fat-free Cool Whip.
As for points, 5 wonton wrappers are 2 points, so figure it out from there!
