Hello world!  That was actually the title that came with the “official first post” but I thought it was kind of cute so I decided to keep it.  I think it encompasses my overall feelings very well. 

I never thought that I would write a blog.  Partly because I am a fairly private person.  I was hyper-secretive about my journal I had in high school and even had a very, very good hiding spot for it (inside a rip in my box spring–pretty good, huh?!?).  But also because I couldn’t fathom anyone wanting to read about me and my life.  And then I came to the conclusion that it doesn’t matter if anyone reads it.  It’ll be therapeutic for me (a la the high school journal) but also a good way to keep track of the things that are important to me (mostly recipes and such).  Plus it looks a lot cuter and is more organized than any journal I’ve ever had.  So here we go.  Hello world!  Welcome to the World of Farm Girl!
